In my down time, I love to create custom memory quilts. Capturing memories and expressing emotion through a thoughtful and elegant design. As most memory quilts involve clothing, I have found a wide open canvas will allow the mixing of colors and textures to fantastic success . 

For some the memory quilt has been the perfect solution for what to do with all the kids’ clothes they have saved over the years from that little outfit he or she went home from the hospital in to the high school graduation outfit. For others, it’s a way to keep a loved one close in their memory.

The smiles and tears of joy on my clients faces as I hand over the completed quilt to them is all the satisfaction I need.

Best choices of clothes to make a memory quilt

As this is a work of passion, I avoid the "fussy" fabrics as they need stabilizer and it effects the feel of the quilt. Please do not send the following fabrics 

Knit fabrics, T-shirts, golf shirts (needs stabilizer)
Silks, satin, rayon or other fancy fabric (needs stabilizer)
